The first workshop,  ‘Creative Characters’ took place this afternoon.  Thank you to the six children who attended for their ideas, enthusiasm and wonderful imagination.  I have uploaded some photographs to the Smart Owls gallery so you can see what we got up to!

I’m just getting everything packed up and ready for the first workshop tomorrow afternoon.  I look forward to meeting everyone and seeing the amazing ‘creative characters’ which are created.

Check back tomorrow for photos (must remember to pack to the camera).

Smart Owls is holding two workshops in June, the last ones before the summer break.

Read, rhyme, craft is the first workshop for younger children.  It is for children aged 4 – 7 and is suitable for those that are not yet reading.  This first workshop will focus on Marvellous Minibeasts, a look at  different insects that we can see around us.

Making sense of it is a workshop for children aged 7 – 10.  It encourages the children to explore creativity using all their senses.

More details about both workshops with information about the date and location are available here.

To register for either workshop just fill out the application form Workshop application and email it to

I will be offering private tuition for children from 4 – 12 years old.  Lessons are available on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon and last for 40 minutes.
